“Check up on yourselves. Are you really Christians? Do you pass the test? Do you feel Christ’s presence and power more and more within you? Or are you just pretending to be Christians when actually you aren’t at all?”
– 2 Corinthians 13:5 TLB

Superficial Christianity is something all of us should avoid. We are saved solely by placing our faith in Christ, but sin can distract us and unfortunately, remaining in it may even cause us to lose that great salvation. If you have received Jesus in your heart, then you belong to Christ and your life should reflect that salvation through your actions. A believer’s actions are called “fruit,” and we know we serve Christ genuinely when things like the fruit of repentance, the fruit of good works, and the Fruit of the Spirit are present in our lives. Are you serving Christ with all your heart, soul and mind? Can people taste the fruit of Christ in you? Do you pass the test?
