DAY TWELVE

“Search [Check] me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!
– Psalm 139:23-24 ESV

When the Lord has full permission to search us, He can then speak to us. If He has our ears, then He can gently lead us to repentance. This is how we live life on the narrow path: we walk in transparency and intimacy with the Lord in our hearts. This includes continual repentance and worship. David was a successful king but he still needed the King of Kings to lead the way. The promises of God are far too amazing for us to miss them. The road to eternal life beckons, but check yourself, because it will take a heart fully surrendered to Christ to reap eternal benefits.
