Under the supervision of the CFO, oversees the general accounting function, which includes inter-company
accounting, cash managements/reconciliation, financial reporting and ensuring internal controls are in place.

Christ and hold to our Affirmation of Faith. This is a salaried, full-time position located at the Converge
headquarters in Orlando, Florida.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports organization financial objectives by providing financial analyses and recommendations.
• Develop accounting organizational strategies by contributing financial information, analysis and
recommendations and directing staff.
• Direct management responsibility of A/P, A/R, payroll and accounting staff.
• Ensure the accounting team is staffed with qualified personnel capable of meeting the objectives and
responsibilities assigned to them. Responsible for continued development of these staff.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively with ministry and executive teams and provide monthly budget reports to
their respective departments.
• Provide accurate financial reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis to Executives and ministry
• Ensure successful completion of the company’s tax and regulatory filings.
• Cooperate with external auditing firm in preparation of schedules and reports for annual audits.
• Provide all aspects of accounting and budgeting to Converge, but detail services related to
missionaries as well as ongoing expenses for missionaries and foreign fields.
• Collect and enter annual budget data for missionary and US staff cost centers.
• Other duties assigned by CFO.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in compliance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Direct reports include: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and accounting assistant.
Directors of Accounting must possess strong communication, organizational, technology and
leadership skills. Must have comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in accounting; at least five years related experience and/or training, including previous
management responsibility. Certification such as certified public accountant (CPA) or certified management
accountant (CMA) or Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) a plus.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical
procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and
procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from pastors,
district executive ministers, Converge staff and leadership.
