While Easter often focuses on the empty tomb, this follow-up moment shows us the heart of Jesus in the aftermath. We see Peter, still weighed down by shame and failure, return to fishing—what’s familiar. But Jesus meets him right there, recreating the scene of Peter’s denial not to condemn him, but to restore him. Jesus shows us that He doesn’t need us—He wants us. And He always invites us back into purpose, no matter how far we’ve run.
