Support the overall mission, goals, and objectives of Joni and Friends. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-As assigned, assist with the planning and executing of all types of programs and events (virtual, hybrid, live)
-Assist with application processes and communications for families, volunteers, and other event participants
-Participate in planning meetings, activities, and in ongoing dialogue to support leaders and teams for programs and events
-Recruit event participants (families, volunteers, fundraisers, churches)
-Participate in packing, purchasing event supplies, and event logistics
-Record, process, and track event financials, background checks, and statistics
-Process and debrief following events and assist for future planning
-Attend ministry programs and events
-Assist in developing and facilitating all social media platforms
-Promote JAF resources, programs, local outreaches, and the individuals we serve
-Assist donor communication, including, but not limited to donor appreciation
-Other projects and assignments assigned by the Supervisor/Other Leadership as necessary to support the overall strategic plan of Joni and Friends
Qualifications:
-Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith
-Self-starter and team player with strong interpersonal and organizational skills
-Ability to provide support to multiple projects and multiple volunteer teams
-Able to interact effectively with leaders throughout the community
-Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry
-Candidates must be able to travel on an intermittent basis locally
-Demonstrate an ability to plan and execute across all departmental functions
-Strong written and oral communication skills
-Strong computer knowledge and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
-Passion for people affected by disability and scriptural knowledge related to God’s heart for people who are marginalized
-Flexible and available to work evenings, weekends, and travel as events approach
